‘Jen Psucky’: Blue-checks drag Jen Psaki over her tone-deaf tweet on DC stores and restaurants closing ahead of the snowstorm

With a major snowstorm hitting DC right now, White House press secretary Jen Psaki wondered why stores and restaurants were closing ahead of the storm:

Growing up in the northeast I will never understand the closing of stores and restaurants when there is barely an inch of snow on the ground yet.

Is it the ice? We think it may be because of the ice on the roads:

This is another crash Virginia State Police says they responded to this morning on 195 in Richmond. They are advising drivers to use caution while on the roads.

As a matter of fact, at about the same time as Psaki was sending those words of wisdom, officials in DC were begging people to get off the roads:

If you can, stay off the roads! During snow events it’s best to stay off the roads. Fewer cars on the roads allows our crews space to pretreat and plow. It also helps our crews clear the roadways as quickly as possible. pic.twitter.com/IvOZuSCuUc

And what’s even funnier is how quickly blue-checks have turned on her. Maybe they’re as tired of her spin as we are?

I am starting to wonder if @jrpsaki is a psy op sent to ruin the Democrats’ re-election chances and generally destabilize the republic https://t.co/9sNvar3aU0

People die in horrid car accidents here because our roads are not salted + there are not enough plows when it does snow more. Sit down. https://t.co/0bhMelQ4vv

Quite the statement to make just two weeks after hundreds of working people, including federal employees, were stranded overnight on an icy highway https://t.co/t6RoMyGN9r

That is because you don’t understand public infrastructure 🙂 https://t.co/ioFVXpyt25

Because a temporary pause in normal activity literally saves lives, it’s basic public health.

(Yes, yes, I know the Biden @WhiteHouse has made clear their only familiarity with the concept is as a target for sarcastic derision.) https://t.co/miEtPiOha3

It’s been like all of two weeks since a sitting Senator was trapped on a highway overnight because he was out commuting in a winter storm. https://t.co/OsAHzQYlkI
